so sad, i have fond memories of my childhood on the beach. although the middle section was removed during the war to stop the germans landing the front half of the pier used to be open and we spent many a wet windy day sitting under it

Oh those colours are awesome. I always want to stop and take pics of this pier but rarely go past without driving and can't do it. This is truly beautiful :) xx

ReplyDeleteAlthough it does look like the pier is just floating out to sea at the moment. Good spot for a photo

Love the unusual perspective for viewing the pier although look at the shell of the pier through the construction site does make it feel quite sad.
ReplyDeleteWhat are they doing there?
ReplyDeletebuilding the i360, nothing to do with the pier sadly...
DeleteEvery time I see it I'm amazed and impressed it's still standing.

Love this, all the lines, from the fence and the pier, such an interesting view point x
ReplyDeleteThere is something slightly sad about this image. It looks so lonely out there x
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I've never seen anything like this. I would have imagined construction starting on land rather than at sea!
